I am starting my 17 year of teaching Biology and Anatomy in the Science Department at Rowan County Senior High School in Morehead, Kentucky. In addition to teaching courses at the high school, I teaches dual credit courses as an adjunct faculty member for Morehead State University.
I have several hobbies. I LOVE to cook. I enjoy trying new foods, creating new foods and experimenting with new recipes. I like to read, although I don't do it often enough. The Jenkins house celebrates every week with Pizza and movie night on Friday. I love the outdoors. I enjoy hiking, kayaking and gardening.
I am a member of KySTE, Kentucky Society for Technology in Education and KEA, Kentucky Education Association. I serve on the Curriculum committee and I am the Science Club sponsor at RCSHS. Over the years, I have had students participate in Science Olympiad Competitions and be accepted in Rural Health Scholars Program. I have also taught for the Upward Bound summer program. I have a bachelor’s of biological science teaching and a master’s in biology from Morehead State University. I have also received Rank I status by becoming a National Certified Teacher in Science, NBCT, grade levels 8-12.

*Biology (Sophomores)
*Disease Pathology (Juniors & Seniors)
