Welcome to 6th Grade Social Studies!

Hello!  I am so excited to be your social studies teacher this year!  My name is Ms. Carter, and I want you to be successful in the classroom!  In this class, we study ancient civilizations including Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, Greece, Rome, and more!  We learn what makes up a civilization by taking a look at their culture, government, religion, geography, and social structure.  It is real interesting to study people!  Go ahead and explore my Bitmoji Classroom for more information or my Zoom schedule if you want to meet face to face.  You are already living in a historic year that you will look back years later and think, "I lived through that!" Let's make it a great one, together!

    Check your schedule and join the correct Google Classrooms.  If you have me, you will sign up for just one of my social studies Google Classrooms.  If you have me for 4th period, I am your homeroom teacher!  In 6th grade, all your assignments for the first 8 days of school (Aug. 26-28; Aug. 31-Sept. 4) will be posted in your homeroom Google Classroom.  For example, if on your schedule, it says Ms. Carter Social Studies 4th Period, then you will check that Google Classroom for your work for the first 8 days of school.  After that, you will need to check all your classes for your assignments.
