Rowan County Senior High Family, March 30, 2020
As we begin our second round of Non Traditional Instruction (NTI) Days, I want to thank everyone for their diligence and flexibility over the past two weeks. Our lives have been upended and we are doing our best to offer educational, social/emotional and basic needs resources to all students.
The information below will outline our process for NTI for the weeks of March 30th-April 3rd and April 13th-17th. Spring Break will still occur April 6th through April 10th. No instruction or assignments will be assigned or submitted during Spring Break. At any point, if you have questions please call the high school.
For this NTI period, teachers will be working from an online platform. Please check the RCSHS teacher websites at https://www.rowan.kyschools.us/1/teacher to find instructions specific to each course. Students will complete course work for all six of their classes for Trimester 3.
If you do not have internet access at your home, your teachers for all six Trimester 3 classes have prepared paper packets for you to complete. Students should complete all work by April 17th.
Teachers are available everyday, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Each teacher has posted means for communication on their teacher webpage located on the Rowan County Senior High School page with instructions to complete online learning material. If you need assistance communicating with a teacher, please call the high school at 606-784-8956.
Teachers will continue to call and email students over the coming weeks. If you need to update your contact information, please call the high school for assistance. Please check your student email and google classroom daily. Also, please turn on notifications for Remind and Google Classroom so you can see when assignments have been posted. For help with logging on to your school email account please visit our website at https://www.rowan.kyschools.us/Content2/online-resources.
