I am Bethanie Henry and this is my 14th year as a fourth grade teacher and at Rodburn Elementary. I graduated in 2007 from Morehead State with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I also graduated from Morehead State in 2012 and again in 2018 with my Master's in School Administration and my Ed.S. in School Leadership. I believe in lifelong learning and hope to instill that in my students as well!
I have been married 12 years to my high school sweetheart, Jonathan. We have two doggie daughters: Gracie, an 11 year old Border-Aussie, and Murphy, a rambunctious 3 year old German Shepherd. We also have three beautiful nieces, Danielle (8), Emma (2), and Ruby (2) and a very handsome nephew, Zeke (5) who we love to spend time with and spoil rotten.
My hobbies include going to church, spending time with my family, listening to music, and being outside playing with my dogs! I also love to kayak, hunt, and fish. This summer I tried kayaking with the dogs. Murphy was scared of the kayak and Gracie hopped right in and went for a ride. The only time things got a little scary was when Murphy swam to me and Gracie and almost flipped us. I am a HUGE sports fan! Especially UK (GO BIG BLUE), Indianapolis Colts, and of course Rowan County--GO VIKINGS!
I love our school, my job, but most of all OUR KIDS! Rodburn has the best kids in the world and I am so proud of them. It is certainly a blessing to me to be called their teacher!
