PiYo

MORGAN MYNHIER - INSTRUCTOR

Who says you have to jump, grunt, strain, and punish your body to get amazing results from your workout? Not with PiYo…PiYo combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga. And, we crank up the speed to deliver a true fat-burning, low-impact workout that leaves your body looking long, lean, and incredibly defined.

PiYo isn't like standard Pilates and yoga classes that make you hold long, intense poses, or lead you through dozens of repetitive, microscopic core movements. PiYo speeds everything up—including your results—by introducing you to dynamic, flowing sequences that can burn serious calories at the same time as they lengthen and tone your muscles and increase your flexibility.

With every action-packed PiYo session, you can burn excess fat and sculpt and define your whole body, as you minimize the aches and pains that can come along with high-impact workouts. No matter your age, no matter your body type, PiYo will help give you dramatically visible, incredibly beautiful results.

THE CLASS WILL MEET AT ROWAN COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL CAFETERIA AT 5:30 ON TUESDAY AND THURSDAYS.  THE COST OF THE CLASS IS $5 PER PERSON.

FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT RANDY WALLACE, COMMUNITY EDUCATION DIRECTOR, AT 606-356-4557.

[ details ] Unity Day - wear orange for bullying awareness month
More Information

October is Bullying Awareness Month

Unity Day 2018, Wed., October 24! Wear and Share Orange!

Together against bullying. UNITED for kindness, acceptance and inclusion.

Make it ORANGE and make it end! What are your true colors when it comes to showing that you care about preventing bullying? Come together in one giant ORANGE message of hope and support, WEAR and SHARE ORANGE to color our nation, and even the world, visibly showing that our society believes that no child should ever experience bullying. Learn ways to get involved.

Activities

Hold a Pledge Signing Event: An opportunity to involve everyone to make the commitment to unite against bullying.

Create A Unity Tree: An interactive and hands-on activity, a shared experience in which anyone can participate and everyone can watch the tree grow. Each person contributes their own unique experiences, creative ideas, and strategies by writing positive messages on leaves that are attached to the tree.

Project Connect: Invite students to write a message on a strip of ORANGE construction paper. The strips are then stapled or glued together, resulting in one long, connected chain that visually represents the power of uniting for a common cause.
